Thandi Mokoena — Chasing Golden Hour in the Kruger
Share
This is a sample story to demonstrate the Field Gear Stories format. Replace with a real customer feature.
The journey
Thandi picked up her first camera at twelve, photographing birds in her grandmother's garden in Nelspruit. Fifteen years later she guides photographic safaris and shoots for conservation NGOs across Southern Africa.
Favourite locations
The S100 near Satara at dawn, the Sabie River crossings in winter, and the quiet gravel loops of northern Kruger where the crowds thin out and the light does the work.
The gear
Her Travel Camera Backpack 18L rides shotgun on every drive — a 600mm prime, two bodies, and a flask of coffee. "It's been rained on, sat on and dragged through dust for three seasons. It just gets better looking."
